Q. One possibility would be not having any nuclear weapons and not sure if the enemy got rid off all of theirs. Or the realization that rogue terrorist have their hands on nuclear weapons and material. Besides what if we get invaded by aliens from pluto? What will we use? Kool_aid?

How is it that Roaches survived the nuclear war?
Q. How is it that Roaches survived the nuclear war? I do not understand how roaches have survived everything form the floods to the nuclear halacoust. They have outlived the dinosaurs, the Isrealites, Canaanites, floods, fires, volcanos and all the rest of everything in this world and they are still here running rampant and terrorizing our cities. You can spray to kill them, but they're not really dead, they are just gone for a lil' while, then they come back and with their cousins and momma 'nem. They want to eat your food, watch some tv, answer the door, do you think that they want to help clean the house, take out the trash, do some laundry, HELL NO. They are just a bunch of free-loading niccas with more than two legs, looking for… [cont.]

A. There hasn't been a nuclear war yet. Only once has atomic weapons been used in aggression and that was only against two cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Bombing two cities is hardly going to erradicate the world's roach infestation. Other than that, it's been theorized that the common house roach is evolutions perfect design.

How often does a nuclear power plant get inspected?
Q. How often does a nuclear power plant in Virginia get inspected? If a nuclear power plant was letting out too much radiation, would the plant be forced to close? Or would they just have to improve the plant? Can a nuclear power plant request extra inspections? If you can, please list any sources that might be useful.

A. 10 CFR has set of regulations that is pretty much concerned with nuclear/radioactive technologies in the US. For reactors 10 CFR 54 and 10 CFR 100 are quite important in addition to many others. The are long and boring, but I am sure they is something more reader friendly on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) website. These guys do the bulk of the inspections. Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) evaluates the overall effectiveness for the plant. They are not a government agency so you usually won't find reports released by the them. During standard operation, there is not release of radioactive materials or radiation, unless there is a serious accident like Chernoboyl. They usually to get a second chance to… [cont.]
